Golf Problems & Solutions

The short game

Has been the best part of my golf for as long as i can remember. It doesn’t surprise me though that a huge amount of golfers really struggle with this part of their game and in extreme cases develop putting and chipping ‘yips’.

Why it doesn’t surprise me is the fact that every amateur I coach with short game problem seems to be making it as difficult as they can to play the shots by mistakenly thinking they need to do one thing when in fact they should be doing the exact opposite.

If you have chipping, putting or pitching issues I can promise you a complete turn around in your shots if you adopt the methods described in the Short Game DVD clip and 5 minutes a day spent with the ‘core’ using those methods before practising with your clubs.

The slicer

If you slice I'm sure you’ve heard the claims before of teachers or magazines saying they can cure your slice. You’re probably reading this because those ‘cures’ either have not worked at all or didn’t last.

Watch the SLICING DVD footage and learn what truly causes your slice and how the ‘core’ will help you develop the correct feel with you golf clubs

If you have played racquet sports, cricket, hockey, or baseball there is no reason you can’t develop the feel you need in 10 minutes using the ‘core’ to train you

Watch the whole DVD and see the changes made in the pupil and how the information they receive clears up any confusion, what do you have to lose

Consistency

Consistency, this is often the most used word when golfers say what they would like to have. Consistency of what? The swing, the set up, ball position, the ball? If we were completely honest and we looked at other sports like cricket, hockey, baseball and tennis etc. The thing that we had consistency over was the ball. The thing that gave us the control over the ball was the racquet or bat we were using and our ‘feel’ and control of it. Imagine playing golf and feeling the club head and knowing exactly how to hit the ball and knowing you can do it again, that would bring consistency! click onto the DVD to see how the ‘core’ will solve your inconsistency.

Lack of Power

Lack of power is one of the biggest issues people would like help solving. I'm sure if you’re a golfer you have probably tried all sorts of things to help you achieve more power, things like, turning your shoulders more, adding width to your swing, and creating resistance between you lower half and upper half. Probably like me, none of these have had any lasting effect on your swing. the reason is and the secret behind more power and distance is that there are only 2 ways to hit the ball further. 1) Hit the ball out of the centre of the club face more often 2) If you do that already most of the time, you must then do It with more speed!!! That’s it!! The secret, but it’s based on the laws of physics. For most people those two things are very difficult to improve because they are using the golf club in an inefficient manner. So how do you improve that? That's a good question, if you have tried alsorts of things perhaps it's time to give the 'Core' a chance. Why not watch the DVD and see if it helps clear up what you should be thinking about and concentrating on when you swing a golf club. In the DVD you'll find a very easy to understand analogy. Take a look at it please, it may help you start hitting it not just a few yards further but 20 or 30!!!!

The Shanker

This is a ‘deadly’ shot, one that strikes huge fear into all golfers. But what is it exactly? Well the truth is that the ball was struck by the inside part of the club face (the heel) and in a way is exactly like hitting a cricket shot or tennis shot off the inside edge of the bat or racquet. For some reason in those sports we can accept it and get on with the next shot not really thinking we will do it again. Yet in golf there is the notion that a shank is a disease and once ‘caught’ is very difficult to get rid of. The 'Core' DVD doesn't cover off how it might help a shanker but let me explain how the 'Core' might help you if you bought one.

Firstly as I've stated the 'inside' part of the clubface has struck the ball. Using the core try and identify whether the core's flat face is 'open' or 'square' as it swings past where the ball might be. Take quite a few practise swings to see what happens. Focusing on the 'face' of the core will start to let you see what's happening as you swing your real golf club. Then move onto hitting some shots with the core off a tee peg over a short distance. Try to develop a 'feel' for the face being square at impact and the ball coming out of the middle of the face rather than the 'inside edge'. Slowing the swing down will help you 'notice' what's happening.

Then move onto some swings with your 7 iron, whilst swinging this club it may be harder to notice if the face is square, that's one of the beauties of the core, it's large flat face gives extremely clear and easy to see feedback whilst your learning. If you lose the feel of a square face go back to the core and get it back. Best of luck and you can change this habit!!!!
