A very strange game

Golf can be an amazing game to play especially when you’re a professional, let me give you an example.

I had been playing on the European Challenge tour (Europe’s second level tour) for 3 seasons with a reasonable amount of success. I’d had maybe 20 top ten finishes over that period and been striving to win a tournament ever since my first start on the tour back in 1990 when I had finished 1 shot behind the winner.

The best 4 holes of my career came in the 1995 as I represented Wales in the Alfred Dunhill Cup at St Andrews.
This was the second match of my career against one of the top players of the day from New Zealand called Frank Nobilo.

The worst form of pressure you can have

Playing tournament golf for a living and winning money can bring incredible feelings of happiness and jubilation. Many times you can play golf in a state of nervousness and excitement all at the same time. The nerves are just a natural feeling when you really care about the result and the excitement is just a natural feeling of being close to accomplishing something you have worked towards.

The most amazing Par ever!!!

Mention Seve's name and you can probably already start imagining the type of AMAZING par he might make, what sticks in my memory though was the way in which I played the hole compared with him and how he made 4 and I made 5!!!!!!!
